According to state data, Hawaii has a higher pet ownership rate than the national average, with about 60% of households owning at least one cat or dog, compared to 36.5% across the U.S.
Cost vs. Care: Embrace Pet Insurance Member Survey
In May, we released findings from a survey of nearly 13,000 insured pet parents, revealing a crucial finding: pet insurance is vital for pet health and happiness.
Survey Highlights:
91% believe that pet insurance enables them to provide better care for their pets, potentially extending their pets' lives.
67% have faced veterinary bills so high they would have struggled financially without pet insurance
- 66% said that having pet insurance allowed them to get their pets the care they needed, that they otherwise might have had to decline due to cost.
- 55% of Embraced-pet owners have established workout routines that include their pets, reflecting a growing trends in pet health and wellness activities
